Description

For this, I captured 30-sec. subs x 30 (15 min. total integration), with no filter, under Bortle 1 skies in New Mexico, from approximately 5:15-5:30 a.m. MST (12:15-12:45 p.m. UTC).  I used all 30 subs stacked for everything in the background EXCEPT the comet.  For the comet, I stacked only the middle 12 subs in the sequence (6 min. integration), to reduce blurring of the ion tail disruption.  After making multiple versions aligned on the stars or comet, respectively, followed by creation of starless and star-only versions, I blended the stars and other background objects (using the full data stack) back into the shorter cometary data.
